Rebecca + Jack

Thought it would only be right to showcase this wedding planner’s wedding day. I married the love of my life on September 10, 2016. I was inspired so much from our wedding I used a variation of our wedding hashtag for my business name – #anellingtonaffair (which turned into An Ellington Event).

Let’s start with my girls. I could not imagine my day without each and everyone in this photographs! One of the sweetest parts of the day was when a gift was given to me from my bridesmaid. They had engraved my new name on a Bible, highlighted their favorite verses, and wrote me sweet messages.

Up next: my first look with my two sisters (my MOHs) and all my bridesmaids. I had kept what my dress looked like it a secret from everyone (expect Ashton & Ashley). The reactions were better than I ever expected!! Thank y’all for bearing with me, it was so hard to keep this secret from y’all!

When Jack proposed he used this red bandana to blindfolded me before popping the question. I wanted to incorporate this blindfold on our wedding day, so I thought our first look was the perfect time.

We were married in the same church my Mimi & DaddyBob, Mom & Dad, and Sister & Brother-in-law were married. I grew up in this church and is the only place in the world I would get married.

The cake aka the real reason everyone came to my wedding (kidding but not really). My grandma has been baking cakes in Stuttgart for decades. Jack’s cake was a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and my cake was two layers white cake one layer strawberry cake with white icing. She did such an amazing job and everyone left with plates full of Mary Johnson Cake at the end of the night.

Thank you to all our vendors and our people for making our day the best!
We love you so much.
